Do I need to download an app?

No, there is no need to download an app to access VuMSI. All you need is to point your Web browser to vumsi.ca and sign in with your VuMSI login ID and password.

How does VuMSI access my MOM system?

Actually, your MOM system calls the VuMSI server to establish a secure, encrypted data connection to your MOM database. When you sign up to the service, we will set up your MOM system with the appropriate software to do this.

Because it's your own system that establishes the connection to the VuMSI server and not the other way around, there is no need for us to make special arrangements to get through your firewall.

Where is the VuMSI server?

The VuMSI application resides on a server owned and managed by CottageDATA Inc. and located in a secure data centre in Kitchener, Ontario, with a backup server located in a separate data centre in Toronto, Ontario. Our data centre locations may change over time but you can always rest assured that our servers will be located within secure commercial data centres. In addition, we guarantee that your data will always be stored on Canadian soil, which is a legal requirement for medical information.
